Forestry Mulching

Forestry mulching turns standing brush and small trees into a layer of mulch in one pass. No burn piles, no hauling, no torn-up ground — the machine does the cutting, grinding, and spreading all at once.

The work

It's the cleanest way to reclaim overgrown ground: the mulch layer holds the soil, knocks back regrowth, and breaks down into the dirt. It's especially good for cedar takeover in pastures, walking trails, hunting land, and clearing understory without disturbing the trees you keep.

Because everything stays on site, mulching is usually faster and cheaper than cut-and-haul clearing on brushy ground — and there's nothing left to burn or dump.

Forestry Mulching questions

How big a tree can you mulch?

As a rule of thumb, brush and trees up to roughly 6–8 inches in diameter mulch clean. Bigger than that, we usually cut and deal with the trunk separately — we'll tell you where the line is when we see the property.

Is mulching better than bulldozing?

For brushy ground, usually yes — it doesn't tear up the topsoil, there's nothing to haul or burn, and the mulch layer slows regrowth. For stumps and dirt work, that's where clearing and excavation come in.
